Non-Degree Seeking Students
If you’re interested in enrolling in one or two online courses, you must first apply as a non-degree seeking student and be admitted to Truman. As a non-degree seeking student, you can take up to eight hours per semester for credit or non-credit (audit).
Non-degree seeking admitted students are not eligible for financial aid.
1. Explore Online Course Options
Before starting the enrollment process, explore available courses.
To view compact list of online courses, see the Online Course Quick View. To view more details about online courses, follow these steps:
- Go to Course List.
- Choose the term for your course, and click on Submit button.
- Select Subject (to search ALL subjects, click on the subject at top of list and drag down to the bottom of the list to highlight all subject areas)
- For Schedule Type, select Online Instruction.
- Select Course Level.
- Click on Class Search button.
2. Get Admitted to Truman
If you are not already admitted to Truman, you can apply as a non-degree seeking student. Once you have applied for admission and have been notified of your admission decision, you will receive information about the registration process.

Check the email used on your admission application for communications from Truman regarding course registration and more.
